DDA Housing Scheme: Unsuccessful Applicants May Get Refund by December 24New
Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) said on Tuesday that it
would refund the deposited money of unsuccessful applicants in its
'Housing Scheme 2014' by December 24.
"The
DDA is going to transfer the entire money deposited with it to the
respective bank accounts by December 18. And, all the banks have been
directed by vice-chairman of the DDA to ensure that the money is
refunded or transferred online to the respective accounts of unsuccessful applicants by December 24, "a senior DDA official said.
The
draw for the largest-ever housing scheme by the DDA was held on
November 25, which left several lucky applicants ecstatic while
not-so-lucky ones rued missing the chance to own an affordable house in
the national capital.
The scheme
offered 25,040 flats in various categories spread across the national
capital, and saw the authority receiving a whopping 10,08,985
applications, which is the highest in the history of the housing
authority.
For the successful
applicants of houses alloted in Dwarka Sector 23B, a three-day camp
would be held at the Vikas Sadan, for starting the allotment process.
"The
camps for allottees of houses in Dwarka Sector 23B would be held for
three days, Nov 19, 20, and 22, where they would be asked to bring
necessary documents, affidavits, biographical details, among others,
required for official allotment. Advertisement would also be put out in newspapers regarding the same, "the official said.
The
draw was held under the supervision of retired Delhi High Court judge
Manju Goel, National Informatics Centre DG Mahesh Chandra, and IIT-Delhi
professor Anshul Kumar.
